A collection of oil pastel drawings I started in 2024 and plan to finish by the end of the year. The last time I remember using pastels was probably when I was 7 years old. I didn’t like it - it was messy, I had no control and it made my paintings look childish. Twenty years later, these are the things I embrace and search for in my art practice. Oil pastels bring texture and depth to my ordinary characters and help me convey the feeling of nostalgia.
